How to make a cyberbullying complaint

If you are under 18 (or reporting on behalf of someone under 18) you can make a complaint about cyberbullying or seriously threatening, intimidating, harassing or humiliating online behaviour.

Follow these steps to make a complaint.

1. Collect evidence and information

Gather screenshots/links, dates, usernames and a short description of what happened and where.

2. Report to the social media service where the bullying took place

All major services, games and websites have reporting tools. Report there first and allow up to 48 hours for a response.

3. Make a cyberbullying complaint to Police

If the content remains or the harm is serious, submit a complaint with your evidence and responses from the platform.
