Launching of www.kidglove.in Cyber Safety E-Learning Portal
Kid Glove is an initiative by Kerala Police and ISRA (Information Security Research Association), a non-profit organisation to create cyber safety and security awareness among teachers, parents and children. The programme began in 2015 as part of the annual c0c0n — Cyber Security and Data Privacy conference hosted by Kerala Police.
Considering the pandemic scenario in 2020–2021, KIDGLOVE has been transformed into an e-classrooms programme to continue efforts to protect children in cyberspace. The new online portal is tailored to address state-specific issues and needs.
The portal offers features for students to register and enroll for cyber courses online. On completion, students receive certificates from Kid Glove. Teachers have dedicated sections with high-quality cyber content and toolkits to help teach and manage cyber issues that affect students.
Parents can access a rich knowledge base to support parenting from a cyber perspective. Schools across Kerala are invited to register and make use of the high-quality learning experience and awareness programmes for students and teachers.
The inauguration of the new platform will be carried out by the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, on 01-06-2020.
